Refunds

Top-ups are not refundable. This page says exactly what that means and where the narrow exceptions are.

Version 0.1-draft · 2026-08-26 · back to the board

Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. These documents were written alongside the system they describe and are accurate about how it behaves, but they have not had legal review. They must not be relied on as the operative terms of a real service until they do.

Top-ups are not refundable

When you add money to a listing, it becomes a melting balance immediately. It buys placement from that moment, and it starts draining from that moment. There is no cooling-off window and no discretionary refund.

The melt is the product, not a fee. A balance going down is the service working as described, not a fault — so “my balance went down” is not a basis for a refund. You must acknowledge this at checkout before you can pay, and we record that you did.

Decide before you pay. The rules page states the half-life, the per-click cost and the archive floor, and the checkout quantifies what your specific amount becomes tomorrow.

The exceptions

Two, and they exist because in both cases keeping your money would mean charging you for something we stopped providing.

SituationWhat happens
We remove your listing — moderation, or an upheld ownership claim from someone who proved they control the domainWhatever balance remains is returned to whoever paid it. We do not keep money for placement we have taken away.
We deliver no clicks in a 24-hour windowThat window’s time decay is credited back to your balance automatically, for up to three consecutive windows. You do not need to ask, and it appears in your listing’s ledger as its own entry.

The second is a credit to your balance, not money returned to your card — it is part of how the mechanic works (see the rules), not a refund.

What is not an exception

How a return is paid

Where an exception applies, the listing’s balance is reduced immediately so it stops ranking, and the amount is queued for return to the original payment method by a person. Returning money is irreversible, so it is not automatic — expect a few business days.

Payments are handled by our merchant of record, who is the seller of record for your purchase. Anything returned goes back through them.

Before you contact your bank

Email us first. A chargeback freezes the listing while it is open, takes weeks, and we would rather talk to you. If we have genuinely taken money for something we did not provide, say so and we will fix it — that is what the exceptions above are.

Your legal rights

Nothing here overrides rights you have by law. This is a business advertising service, but if consumer protection law applies to your purchase, it applies regardless of what this page says, and we are not attempting to contract out of it.
